How excited are you to be here at Kids' Day?
I’m very excited to be here representing Arthur Ashe and being a mentor for all these kids out here and I’m really excited to perform.
What are you performing?
I’m performing songs off of my EP, "Holla at the DJ"and the "World is Dancing."
My EP was my debut kind of like a little taste of what my album will be next year.
And what producers did you work with?
I worked with David Banner, JukeBox and Ester Dean, great people like that. And it’s really coming together really well.
What have you learned from working with Ester and David?
Well, they both taught me actually a lot. David Banner, he’s very inspiring and he’s gone through so much, so he always shares his story and things he’s learned and he’s helped me to really teach me more about my sound.
And Ester Dean is a hit maker.
She’s the boss. It’s really cool to see how just she runs her stuff and gets it together and it's done.
Who are some artists that you look up to?
I’m inspired by a lot of people, Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Mariah Carrey, Demi Lovato - those are just some of them.
Since you are also a rapper, who are some rappers you would like to collaborate with?
If I could collaborate, I want to collaborate with J. Cole..that’s the one on the top of my head, but so many more people.
