We spoke with Chef Janine Booth exclusively on the red carpet. Check out what she had to say.

Tell me about why it is important for you to support this event today.

Usually I'm in the kitchen, all about food, this is not my usual attire, so it's very exciting for me to come out, dress up, and support a really amazing cause like Ovarian Cancer, we really need bring awareness to the disease and raise some money to try and fight this thing. It's a very difficult disease to detect, and it affects so many young women, and so many older women as well, and it's just very important that we are able to find a preventive option and it's mainly about detecting early.

What are some of your favorite dishes to cook for the summer?

Right now, I just opened up my restaurant, Root & Bone and it's down in Alphabet City in New York and one of the dishes that we have on the menu right now is highlighting the stone fruit that is in season. We have some amazing stone fruit and amazing peaches, which I grill, and I put with pickle green tomatoes, and heirloom tomatoes, and fried pimento cheese, which is a symbol of the south since it is a southern restaurant.

What inspired you to open your restaurant?

This is my first restaurant, I have opened restaurants for other people, but this is my first baby, so I'm excited. I just moved up from Miami about 12 months ago to New York and I've always wanted my own place, so I thought why not give myself a huge challenge and open it up in New York City. We opened up about three weeks ago, and its been going very well!

What inspired you to go into the culinary arts?

I've always been into food, as a young kid, I was pretty chubby, I was always eating, I always had something in my hand that was going in the direction of my mouth. I've always been into food, I went to culinary school, and its always been my dream to open up my own baby.

OCRF and QVC united once again for “QVC Presents Super Saturday LIVE,” a live, on-site broadcast, which offered viewers nationwide the chance to purchase premier fashion, beauty, jewelry, accessories and home items for half the suggested retail price, with net proceeds benefitting OCRF. In addition to incredible shopping, Super Saturday offered attendees an afternoon of activities and indulgences.

Guests loved Priv’s Braid Bar, which offered fresh summer hairstyles, Zico Coconut Water, Bai5, Hampton Coffee Company drinks, Sheila G's Brownie Brittle, Carvel Ice Cream, and enjoyed psychic readings with Betsy Wahmann. Attendees stopped by the Rolls-Royce photo booth and also got to design their own Hanes shirts. FIJI Water kept guests hydrated. Super Saturday 17 Raised $3.5 Million for Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
