The heart of the Old South has a new set of faces taking the city by storm in Bravo Media's docu-series, The New Atlanta, airing Tuesday at 10pm ET/PT. The series follows the next generation of the city's trailblazing young professionals who are hungry to achieve their dreams and find love as they struggle to resolve heartbreaks from the past. One of the young professionals taking the city of Atlanta by storm is, Tribble Reese. His work-hard, play-hard attitude gives him an edge over his peers, but his journey is not without a few bumps, hurdles and heartache along the way. As a partner in an event and promotion company, Tribble always knows where the party is. Tune in Tuesdays on Bravo (10-11 p.m. ET) to see Tribble in action on The New Atlanta and read my full interview with Reese below:
Examiner: How are you?
Tribble Reese: “I'm doing fantabulous, except for coming back from Clemson this weekend where my Tigers got thumped by the Florida State Seminoles. I am a huge Clemson football fan as I played there, and seeing us see our chances for a national championship melt away wasn't fun, but I'll make it.”
Examiner: How did “The New Atlanta” come about for you?
Tribble Reese: “It was kind of a long process, but producers approached me and I thought it was a good fit to showcase how I live in ATL!”
Examiner: Did you have any reservations before doing the show, and how has the feedback been for you since the show has aired?
Tribble Reese: “I mean you always have reservations about putting your whole life on TV for all the world to see, but I have been through it before with Sweet Home Alabama (on CMT), so I knew what I was getting myself into. Feedback for the show has been great! We are about half way through the season and things are starting to get interesting!”
Examiner: Do you think there could ever be a romantic future between you and Emily, or will she just continue to be your friend?
Tribble Reese: “I can't really answer that question, because I have never really looked at her in the light. We have always been great friends, but we are definitely spending more time together so who knows.”
Examiner: Are you over Africa, and was it for you to see her interested in Vawn?
Tribble Reese: “That whole situation happened so quick that I guess you could say I'm over it. It was tough the first couple of times but now when I see them, it's cool. I am just interested to see what happens with Vawn and Africa the rest of the season, because I honestly have no clue.”
Examiner: Hearing Vawn’s thoughts on women, how did that make you feel for Africa?
Tribble Reese: “It's got to be tough if you have emotional feelings for someone, and you hear them say that their feelings may not be all for you. I respect Vawn for being honest, but I still feel that it is morally wrong to try to be sleeping with multiple women at the same time. If that's how you get down, great, but that's not how I was raised.”
Examiner: Where do you and Vawn stand today?
Tribble Reese: “You are definitely going to see us butt heads a few more times this season.”
Examiner: Do you think you were too harsh/judgmental of Vawn and his perspective?
Tribble Reese: “Not at all. I stood up for what I believed in. I feel like a lot of people don't do that enough in today's world. Have a backbone and say what you feel if someone is trying to push their beliefs on you.”
Examiner: How would you describe “The New Atlanta” in three adjectives?
Tribble Reese: “Representative, Edgy, Provocative”
Examiner: Why do you think the rest of the nation is drawn to the culture of Atlanta?
Tribble Reese: “I think it's a city that is being reborn. It has been here for a while but the whole culture is changing. There is an entertainment boom coming here, as well as the business side that is exploding. So much to do, so many places to eat, so many cool people to get to know down here. Y'all are just getting a glimpse!”
Examiner: What do you think will surprise the viewers the most as the season continues?
Tribble Reese: “Vawn's forum that he has during the episode on Sunday, Oct 27th. Everyone's mouths are going to drop when you see what is said, and what goes down.”
Examiner: Lastly, what can viewers and your fans expect from you in the future?
Tribble Reese: “I'm just riding the wave right now. I have a passion for people, truly. I am just going to continue to do me and keep grinding until I get to where I want to go! I love social media and interacting with fans, so everyone can keep up with me on twitter/instagram: @tribblereese.”
