The Harlem Globetrotters are coming to Enid, Okla. and fans could not be more excited. On Jan. 10, I spoke to Firefly on the phone to find out about his life as a Globetrotter and what you can expect when you come to see them play.
Firefly was drafted by the Globetrotters when he was playing at Siena College. This is his 4th year on the team and he loves what he gets to do every single day. He had always hoped to play professional basketball, but never thought it would be for such an amazing team. He said the second that he is seen in his red, white, and blue that fans are very supportive and always share their great stories with him of seeing the team when they were younger.
As a player for the Globetrottters, Firefly has been able to go on two military tours. He thought it was amazing and was part of the first team to ever visit Afghanistan.
When they come to Enid, Flight Time will be with the Harlem Globetrotters. He has been on the team for 14 years and was even featured on "The Bachelorette" with Jillian Harris. He has also been on "The Amazing Race." Fans will also get to meet Tea Time, who is one of the female players on the team.
One great way to have the best experience at the game is to get the Magic Pass. This will let you meet the players and even do a few trick shots with them. This 30 minute interactive activity also lets you get autographs and pictures with the team.
At the Harlem Globetrotters game, you can expect to see comedy, high flying dunks, great music, and even dribbling on the ground. As Firefly said, you don't have to love basketball to have a great time at the game.
