Erin Krakow is the star of the new Hallmark show "When Calls the Heart." Season one is coming to an end and on March 20 Examiner got the chance to talk to Erin over the phone about the series and what fans can expect.
Of course Erin couldn't let out very many spoilers about the rest of the season. She did share that there will be a few cliffhangers when it ends, but that fans will also get some satisfying resolutions. Everyone wants to know if Jack and Elizabeth will be together and of course she couldn't say but she did say that fans will get some of the answers they have been looking for all season.
Krakow loves filming the scenes where she is working with children and teaching them. She also likes the romance and playful banter that goes on between Elizabeth and Jack. It also sounded like she had some scenes she loved doing that Erin just isn't allowed to talk about yet. She loves how they stay respectful to the time that the show is set in with their romance. It has made for an exciting story line that fans can't wait to watch each week.
Working with Lori Loughlin is exactly what you would expect it to be. She said that she is talented, professional, and amazing. Erin feels lucky to get to work with her every single day.
She has received amazing feedback from the show and loves her fans which call themselves #Hearties. Erin feels very honored to be considered a role model for young girls and to have this special opportunity. The best advice she can give to young girls is to "stay true to who you are, follow your dreams, respect yourself, and have fun while you are doing it."
At this time, there is no news on season two. Erin said that she is staying optimistic about it and has really high hopes the show will be back for season two. She loves where she is at and doesn't want to go anywhere. Erin feels like watching the show live on the very first airing is important. It can also help to tweet, buy the episodes on iTunes and anything else you can do to promote the show and make sure Hallmark knows that the fans want another season and more stories from Coal Valley.
Right now she is living in LA and unpacking from a move into a new apartment. Krakow is ready to head back to Vancouver for filming anytime that they are ready for the show to continue on.
