It would appear that Rockstar Games is preparing new content for Grand Theft Auto 5 as the year old title will re-release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this year. According to a report by Gaming Bolt from Aug. 3, it seems that Rockstar Games is developing additional content for the highly anticipated title. Furthermore, this new downloadable content may be exclusive to the PS4 version of GTA 5, though it may be a timed-exclusive type of deal.

According to game code for GTA 5, a user on the GTA Forums discovered that Rockstar may be developing a zombie downloadable content pack for Grand Theft Auto 5. To give this rumor further credibility, a video was posted on Youtube showcasing additional game code that lists the PS4 as a potential platform for release. As noted below, the code reads ‘main_ZMB’ and additional coding reveals that it may be a single-player DLC as the game code continues to read ‘SPZombies’. Find a bit of the game code below:

num3 = "main_ZMB";

Though this information is not yet confirmed and should only be taken for a grain of salt, the probability of Sony getting exclusive DLC for GTA 5 on PS4 seems probable considering Rockstar and Sony partnered to market GTA 5 for PS3. Moreover, Grand Theft Auto 5 was announced for the PS4 during Sony’s E3 conference. Rockstar Games will release GTA 5 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this year. The title will receive a number of enhancements, including improved textures, high-resolution character models, more detailed environments, better physics, and much more.

Expect to hear more on GTA 5 as its release date nears.
