Exclusive First Look: The Saints Of Mt. Christopher Movie Trailer

Bases Loaded Entertainment, LLC

A coach looking to rebound a career in shambles following the on-court death of one of his players and two athletes trying to escape a domestic full court press all eventually end up at Mt. Christopher, a college re-launching its basketball program after a five year hiatus, that's the premise behind the sports drama, The Saints of Mt. Christopher directed by and starring University of South Alabama alumnus Shane Dean.

The movie which was shot in Mobile, also stars Tom Sizemore and Clifton Powell. This is the second time Dean has collaborated with Powell who starred with Glenn Plummer (South Central/Speed 2/Showgirls) and Dean in Bases Loaded's break out film, Sugar Valentine, a 2004 ABFF Film Life and HBO Festival selection.

In The Saints of Mt. Christopher, Powell plays dysfunctional dad Donald Ray Williams to Dean's character Dreese Williams, a role the director says came pretty easy, "He's a good friend of mine. He's like family to me. He worked on my first film. When you work with a talented actor like that, he brings the best out of a person working across from him. It was great."  As for Sizemore, Dean says The Saving Private Ryan actor hopped on the project as soon as he read the script and "did great work for us."

In addition to the veteran character actors, Dean's movie also stars a lot of newcomers, "We shot in the Mitchell Center. We had about 600 extras. A lot of first time actors. It was exciting for the city and exciting for us to bring it there."

This looks very interesting, can't wait to check this out. There seems to be alot going on within the plot of the movie that will keep the viewer's attention. I am sure it will be a success and hope that people come out and support Dean and this project.
