This weekend on Hallmark channel fans will get to see a new original series called "Signed, Sealed, Delivered." This series has already aired the two hour movie that will start out the season. On Friday, Examiner got the chance to talk to one of the stars of the show Eric Mabius. He plays Oliver who works at the dead letter office at the post office. They work hard to find out where letters that got lost really belong.

Eric got the script for this show to read while he was headed to China for work. He took the time to read it on the airplane and the second they landed he wanted to talk to Martha Williamson, the woman behind the show, about it all. She is best known for her work on "Touched By an Angel." He loved that there is nothing like this on television and knew it was something that would be great. Eric said "Martha makes everyone want to be better and is inspiring."

This entire show is done in a respectful way that your children can watch and brings you back to the shows that he watched growing up. He loves the "universal appeal." Eric is impressed with the fact that Martha came up with an idea unlike anything out there on television today.

Mabius revealed that each episode of this show gets better and better. In spoilers, his character Oliver will definitely have a romance brewing with Shane, but he also has some struggles. His wife left him and he has to get past feeling like he is still morally required to wait on her.

A lot of Eric's fans know him from his time on "Ugly Betty." He shared with Examiner that the cast from this show is still like family to him. Just last weekend most of them had a little reunion at the producer's house and he was sad he had to miss out on it due to other obligations. He would love to do a reunion if the opportunity ever came up.

Eric admits that he has enjoyed not working on a series on a daily basis. He has moved his family back to his hometown. They have an orchard and a garden. It has been nice to step away and recharge. This series is 12 episodes long and it was perfect for him. Don't worry though Eric says if they do a second season he would love to be a part of it and has high hopes it will happen. Make sure you check out the Examiner interview with Kristin Booth at this link.

"Signed, Sealed, Delivered" will air on Sunday nights on Hallmark channel. The premiere will be on April 20. Don't miss live tweeting with the entire cast by using the hash tag #POstables. You can check out Eric Mabius on Twitter and he will be tweeting away too. He actually set up his account just to keep in touch with fans about the show.
