Exclusive discount to Beatles Examiner readers for three 50th anniversary events

NYC FAB 50 announced Jan. 24 it would give a special discount to Beatles Examiner readers purchasing tickets for its events celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Beatles' arrival in America from now until Monday. Use the code “deal50” and get a 10 percent discount to the “Twist & Shout: NYC Celebrates The Beatles” Feb. 6 at the Apollo Theater; the Feb. 7 Hudson Theatre “Across the Universe” music festival; and the Feb. 8 “America Celebrates The Beatles” all-star concert at the Town Hall Theatre.

The lineup for the Feb. 6 Apollo Theater show features Lloyd Price, Lulu, Dionne Warwick, Gary U.S. Bonds, Bettye LaVette, Barence Whitfield, Kitoto Van Hebb, the daughter of singer Bobby Hebb, Melvin Van Peebles and Mary Wilson of the Supremes.

The Feb. 7 "Across the Universe" show is headlined by the Spin Doctors and features international acts paying tribute to the Beatles.

The Feb. 8 Town Hall “America Celebrates the Beatles” show will feature Tommy James, Gary DeCarlo of Steam, Melanie, Gene Cornish of the Rascals, Greg Hawkes of the Cars, Ron Dante of the Archies, Fred Schneider of the B-52s, Marshall Crenshaw, Walter Egan, Ian Lloyd of the Stories, John Ford of the Strawbs and Aztec Two-Step.

Tickets for the Feb. 6 “Twist & Shout: NYC Celebrates the Beatles” Apollo Theater show and the Feb. 8 Town Hall “America Celebrates the Beatles” show are on sale through Ticketmaster. Tickets for the Feb. 7 Hudson Theatre “Across the Universe” show are on sale through Ticketleap, also through the link. Don't forget to use the “deal50” code.
