'Big Brother 13' has just aired its first live eviction. Keith was sent home on night one and then we saw Veteran Jordan win the 2nd HOH of the season. I was given the opportunity to interview Matt Hoffman from Season 12 of 'Big Brother' about his opinions on the first week and who he thinks will be the winner of 'BB13.' Matt was part of the famous 'Brigade' alliance in Season 12.
Matt hosts a show every week on the popular website RTVZone.com. It is called 'Live from the Gremlin Cave.' He talks with past 'Big Brother' contestants about the new season. This show airs live at 6:00 pm CST in the Oklahoma City area. If you miss it, you can watch it the next day on the website. Here is the interview with Matt.
On the live eviction tonight, they sent Keith home. Do you think this was the right choice?
This was definitely the OBVIOUS choice. Keith is probably the worst player that the game has ever seen. I made some bad mistakes in the game, but that was around week seven or eight, and I was losing my mind. Keith made my similar mistakes, but he did them as soon as he stepped foot in the house.
As far as the CORRECT choice, I'm not so sure. Keith was 100% loyal to the newbies, and Porsche was not. So I think that keeping Keith may have been the newbie's only hope for survival.
What did you think of ‘Big Brother’ letting Rachel decide the order of the HOH competition?
Big Brother does whatever they want whenever they want. They obviously have a thing for Rachel...I mean, they let her break the rules last year and send Brendon a "pretzel message" telling him who to nominate. In Big Brother "rules" are very subjective!
Are you happy with Jordan as HOH?
I'd have much rather seen a newbie won, because I think with Jordan (or ANY veteran) in power, the newbies are now just going to be picked off one-by-one.
What do you think the chances are that a newbie will win the game this season?
Their only shot was to win HoH last night, and now they blew it. I think they're all toast. Even if one of them aligns with the veterans, they'll be low man on the totem pole, so their days are numbered.
Do you think Evel Dick leaving the game is going to hurt the veterans?
It certainly was not good for them, but the vets are SO much stronger competitors than the newbies that it almost doesn't even matter anymore at this point (particularly now that they're in power AGAIN).
What are your predictions for the final 2 this season?
I believe the final two will be Jordan and Dani at this point. Sad, but true.
As a past contestant, would you go back into the game again if they ever asked you?
Oh hell yes! Any contestant that tells you that is lying!!! And this would've been an awesome season to be on as a returning houseguest because of what terrible players they cast as newbies. Cassie is the only halfway decent strategist, and it seems like no one is listening to her. The vets have a MAJOR advantage, just from a competitive standpoint!
