Astor & Black is a luxury clothier with a national presence. Their fully canvassed, handmade line of suits and custom attire is adorning the backs of powerful tastemakers across the country. Hand craftsmanship and unprecedented value are as important as the straight to your home or office customer service they offer. The SF Socialite got the exclusive behind the scenes coverage of what will be the next Astor & Black ad campaign in GQ magazine. The day included a high fashion shoot in San Francisco and ended with 49ers President, Jed York in Santa Clara.
By 7am in the rooftop studio of Impressionist Painter, Daniel Bayless, hair and makeup was already in full swing. Christian Gardner was the focal point of the morning. He is many things, Astor and Black’s liaison, a model for Look Model Agency and doting husband to Nisreen Gardner just to name a few. Nisreen made sure all the right people were gathered to form the super crew that knocked out amazing photo after amazing photo.
Talented New York fashion photographer Klynt Hay can also add model to his resume. Today the handsome dad continues to work his magic from the other side of the lens. Local photographer Lindsey Stafford was on hand to assist Klynt, Ray Bans and all. On set Preston Nesbit and Tony Sananikone had the boys and girls looking good. Preston is represented by FORD Model's artist division and can also be found at Acme Head and Body. Tony, head stylist at Gap offered his expertise for the day. We also got a glimpse of what his new collection may look like. Tony will be showing a new line this fall for San Francisco’s Independent Retail Week. In addition to styling the shoot he also dressed the two female models in pieces he designed. He whipped up this drop-dead gorgeous number the night before.
Klynt used every area of the rooftop hideaway to create amazing backgrounds for the stunning photography that took place. Located near Union Square on Sutter Street, the rooftop gave way to views of the Trans America Building and city skyline. Even a random water tower set the stage for strong and sexy attention grabbing shots of Christian. Fellow Look model Cassandra Ericson joined Christian for the second series all about desire. #1 wife in the world cheered her husband on as Cassandra played the part of a woman who can’t resist a man in an Astor & Black suit. The group shot continued that theme. There were a handful of people who all had their eyes on the man in Astor & Black.
