When an audience member asked the duo if Lange would ever return to the Howard Stern Show, Governale gave this reply.
"All right, I'm going to tell you about Artie Lange...A lot of people ask us this and I'll tell you personally...after Artie went through his unfortunate bout of personal demons, I had the opportunity to speak to him and Artie is really working on making himself better. He suffers from clinical depression...(interruptions from the audience). Artie is just trying to better himself. And he really is working hard at it. He's working on his second book."
Lange's first book 'Too Fat to Fish' chornicled his life through the summer of 2008. It's bestseller status guarateed Lange a deal for a follow up, but he spent the next year in a brutal struggle with drugs, alcohol and depression that ended in a horrific suicide attempt by stabbing in January 2010.
Whether Lange's second book will discuss his final year on the Howard Stern Show or his suicide attempt are still unclear, but fans seem eager to score any news of Lange at--with or without the gory details.
