Check out some of the new venues in Washington D.C., especially along 14th street. There are many new shops and restaurants and book stores now in the vicinity and very accessible to the many Universities that are in Washington D.C., such as George Washington University and Georgetown University.

Busboys and Poets Bookstore is not your average bookstore and coffee shop. The menu is exquisite with something for every taste. is the website to check up on the many events that are always interesting and exciting, such as author signings and lectures, parties and general fun filled nights.
There is amazing coffee and cappuccino, plus a fully stocked bar with some very commendable house wines and beer choices. The drinks are well made and top shelf they are also quite exotic with interesting appeal and Caribbean origins.

With the arrival of spring there will be plenty of fun events to partake in at the Bookstore such as live music and poetry readings, talent showcases and independent foreign film viewings. Students from the neighborhoods are always performing and showcasing their artistic talents. The walls are decorated with professionally established art and paintings and sculptures.

Located a 14th Street NW Washington D.C. about six blocks from the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and 14th street, the Bookstore is easily walkable from the Metro Center and other major transportation venues, such as buses and taxis. There are several Universities close by to the bookstore so meeting new people is almost a guarantee at all the events.

The neighborhood has four hour parking meters and parking is easily accessible in the afternoon hours. The neighborhood is quite safe and quiet. The people are extremely friendly and there are lots of shops and businesses close by on the 14th street sector.
