Excision kicks off 55-city North American 'Execution Tour' tonight

Renowned Canadian dubstep and bass music artist Excision arrived minutes ago in Indianapolis to kick-off his new North American "Execution Tour" tonight at Old National Centre. The ambitious 55-city tour will stretch across all four corners of the United States and Canada over next 90 days ending on April 19 in Salt Lake City. Supporting artists for the duration of the tour include Mad Decent artist Paper Diamond and dubstep producer Vaski.

The "Execution Tour" will feature a one-of-a-kind bass music and audiovisual experience. Excision will perform on his new "The Executioner" stage, a behemoth production set-up utilizing an array of technology. Fans will witness 420 square feet of 3D, video-mapped animations projected onto a mechanical bunker from which Excision will perform and which will be fully synced to the audio during his live set. The production will also feature the same, massive 100,000 watt sound system from Canada's PK Sound that was part of Excision's sold-out "X Tour" in 2012.

British Columbia born Excision, aka Jeff Abel, started his professional career in 2004 and has had a meteoric rise in bass music following the release of his first artist album in 2007. In addition to his solo career, Excision performs as part of the dubstep trio DESTROID. The trio, which also includes Downlink and KJ Sawka, just released their most recent track "Blast Off" featuring Ajapai.

Excision released an official tour trailer last week in anticipation of the tour kick-off tonight.
