Examiner does Mercedez Benz Fashion Week: Tadashi Shoji Fall 2013 Runway show (Photos)

The Romanov's meet Downton Abbey on the runway at the Tadashi Shoji Fall 2013 runway show. The show, inspired by the rise and fall of the Russian Empire features demure day looks inspired by the clothing the Russian nobility donned to escape exeuction and progresses into a gorgeous array of evening gowns, evoking the bygon era of opulence they once enjoyed.
Many pieces also had a very Downton Abbey feel which , since the time periods of the two are close together meld well together.
Vibrant reds and blues, pink and creme were used in the gowns in fabrics of sheer paneling, silk, velvet and beautiful lace overlays. Long sleeve gowns were featured, a delightful change from the strapless creations we usually see on the red carpet.
