For some reason the Ground Zero mosque has become, of all things, a political issue dividing the Left and the Right. Why? Both Democrats and Republicans were killed on 9/11 and yet the debate over the building of the mosque has become politically divisive. Christians, Jews and Muslims were all killed that day as were those of other religious affiliations. So why the politics?
We all agree that Muslims have every right to build their mosque.
One question that remains and divides us is the wisdom of building the mosque at Ground Zero. But where, exactly, is Ground Zero?
Those in favor of the mosque want to limit that definition to the actual footprints of the two World Trade Centers that were targeted. Others want to include the periphery where other buildings were also destroyed. Still others claim that Ground Zero should include all of the areas where remains of the victims of the 9/11 were found.
So what constitutes Ground Zero?
Imam Rauf, the “visionary” behind the Ground Zero mosque, made a callus statement on The Larry King Show on September 8th in regards to the location of the mosque. He said that “No one’s body is in that location.”
There are no bodies, Imam. There are only the remains of those pulverized to death, Imam. In fact, Imam, only three months ago human remains from the 9/11 attacks were found on the roof of Fiterman Hall located at 30 West Broadway, a short 250 feet from the site of the proposed Ground Zero mosque and at the same radius from the World Trade Center if you googlemap it. In fact, remains of 9/11 victims have been found as far away as West Street and Carlisle, over 1100 feet from the site of the original buildings. Should that than be the outer limits of Ground Zero, Imam?
But we quibble about differences in feet from the scene of the atrocity.
There is no quibble, however, about the fact that United Flight 175, the second of the two death planes, carrying 65 persons including a two year-old girl, crashed into the southern façade of WTC 2. The plane penetrated the building instantly killing all on board and hundreds more in that building. Part of its landing gear broke loose and landed smack dab in the middle of 51 Park Place (the future site of the Ground Zero mosque), crashed through its roof coming to rest in the middle of the building.
Is that close enough to be considered Ground Zero?
Why are we even arguing about this?
Do Muslims have the right to build their mosque there? Of course they do.
Imam Rauf has proclaimed that this mosque is meant to be a place of peace and reconciliation but It has proven to be the exact opposite. It is, and always will be, a source of contention and discord.
Move the damned mosque!

Imam Rauf is deceiving our Officials and playing the Angel of peace, fooling America of the reasons behind building his Mosque near the 9/11 Islamic Attack Site.
According the Islamic History and since the days of Muhammad the Profit of Islam, it is an Islamic tradition that, following every Victory of an Islamic Invasion or Battle, A Mosque must be built (on or close) to that Battle Ground as A Symbol of the Islam’s Existence and Victory on that Country.
Muslims pray in it to Allah (Muslims’ God) and celebrate their Victory on that day, it is called in Arabic (Yawm El Nasr) which means (Victory Day).
So, building the Mosque on that Site is the Imam’s opportunity that he wouldn’t miss for the world.
His Muslim terrorists brothers successfully did the Attack on 9/11 and his duty as a Muslim is to complete the Islamic Tradition by building the Symbol of that Attack’s Victory.
When the mosque is built, Imam and Muslims of America will celebrate their Victory of the first Islamic Attack on USA Soil every 9/11 each year.
But then of course they will convince America that they are celebrating their Grand Opening of the Mosque on 9/11, and as usual Our Smart Officials and all of those who supported the Mosque will buy easily his lies and deceits as they always did.
