An ex-wife dragged a man behind a truck after she used a stun gun on him and hog-tied him to the bumper, Reuters reports Jan. 10. According to the report, 54-year-old Robert Hall was dragged half a mile by his ex, 61-year-old Jeanette Morris in the rural part of New Smyrna Beach, Fla..
Hall is hospitalized Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach and being treated for a broken pelvis and facial bones along with bleeding from his brain. He remains in ICU as of Thursday.
The man reportedly stayed at his ex-wife's residence when she was away driving a truck. She suspected he had his girlfriend stay with him when she was away. On Tuesday, Morris called for a sheriff deputy to avoid a confrontation with Hall. She said she would just stay the night at her brother's house, but after the deputy left, something else occurred....Morris, her brother, and another woman began drinking vodka with Hall. Later all three of them attacked him, shocked him with a stun gun three times, and tied him up to the back of a truck. His hands were tied behind his back and his ankles tied together. Once they dragged him for half a mile, he was thrown into the bed of the truck where they cut off his hair, talked about scalping him, and look for a hole to bury him in. When the truck took off, that's when Hall managed to escape and get help.
The ex-wife who dragged the man behind her truck -- and the three who were accomplices -- are charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, false imprisonment, aggravated battery and aggravated assault.
