Geoff Keighley, SpikeTV and Gametrailers front man, has announced that former head of all things Playstation in America will be serving as a special co-host and analyst for "Spike All-Access" running during E3, from June 9-12.

Similar to past E3 events, Keighley will host numerous guests, analysts, and industry officials in a talk show and interview format from on location at this years Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, California. The news that Tretton, who left Sony in March of 2014, will join Keighley as a special correspondent comes as a welcome return to a C-level executive that always seemed to appeal to the core gaming audience.

Tretton is no stranger to Spike or Keighley, as following a stellar showing from Sony at E3 2013, Tretton proceeded to literally "drop the mic" following his interview with Keighley.

Tretton said of the announcement,

Since I dropped the mic last year on Spike I thought it was only appropriate to pick it back up for E3 this year! I've been to every E3 but this year I'm excited to see the show through a different lens with the team at Spike. I'll be watching the news and announcements unfold alongside the fans and the rest of the industry, and I can't wait to see the new games that everyone is bringing to the table."

E3 2014 coverage begins on June 9th, with big show put on by rivals Sony and Microsoft, typically revealing much craved details about known games, as well as serves as a great stage for brand new reveals to get the crowd excited. June 9th proves a full agenda as Microsoft, Sony, EA, and Ubisoft are all slated to present, beginning at 12PM EST.

Eager viewers can watch coverage at GameTrailers, SpikeTV, on Xbox Live, and as was announced earlier in the week, Sony will broadcast their conference to select movie theaters in the US.
