Ex 'gay' warns Boy Scouts not to give in to homosexual pressure (Video)

World Net Daily continues to closely follow the Boy Scout story regarding its possible policy changes on homosexuality. In the battle between long-standing, traditional, family values and the increasingly aggressive and powerful homosexual lobby, which has already succeeded in persuading multiple corporate sponsors to stop supporting the Boy Scouts, a new development has now emerged.

On Thursday, World Net Daily reported that now an ex 'gay' man who himself was a victim of child molestation - which he said, played a significant role in him turning to the homosexual lifestyle as an adult - is pleading with the Boy Scouts not to give in to the mounting pressure.

"As a former homosexual who was sexually molested as a child, I urge the Boy Scouts of America to reinforce their policy prohibiting homosexuals as Scout leaders entrusted with the care of impressionable young boys and teens."

Greg Quinlan, who is also the president of Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays, insists that the BSA is on the verge of making a colossal mistake by removing their longstanding policy of prohibiting membership and participation to open and avowed homosexual individuals.

"No matter what precautions the Boy Scouts put in place so that open homosexuals can participate, such safeguards will never be enough,” Quinlan adds.. “It’s like installing smoke alarms, fire ladders, and extinguishers in your home. Yes, if there’s a fire, a family may survive and get out of a burning house. But the best thing would be to not light the match in the first place.”

A victim of molestation himself, Quinlan reiterates that the homosexual lifestyle that is being promoted as "normal" and perfectly "healthy" is in fact very destructive.

He explains that young boys are highly impresionable and that exposure to openly homosexuals as scout leaders will lead boys to begin to question their own sexual identity, when there is no reason for them to do so.

"This paves the way for youth to question their own sexuality and be affirmed into homosexuality," and "Promoting homosexuality to youth is also a political ploy to further homosexual approval," he added.

Quinlan further explains that because of his traumatic molestation as a child and his homosexual lifestyle, he was "raped" out of the "best years of his life".

Quinlan said that what finally drove him out of that destructive homosexual lifestyle was personally witnessing the death of "over 100" of his friends due to AIDS.

But Quinland was not alone in his plea. Dr. Michael Brown, author, speaker, political activist, theologian, and radio host, who also spoke with WND, raised other important issues.

"I find it ironic that gay activists have led the way in raising awareness about bullying but have no problem bullying the Boy Scouts of America."

Regarding the likely policy change, Dr. Brown adds:

"It is terribly unwise. Hardly a week goes by where we don’t hear a new report about a female school teacher having a sexual relationship with one of her teenage students. Would it be wise to appoint women to be Boy Scout leaders? Obviously not. In the same way, it is not wise to appoint gay men to be Scout leaders. It opens the door to potential abuse and is terribly unfair to the kids. In this context, it is not just right-wing rhetoric to remind ourselves of the Jerry Sanduskys of this world."

Greg Quinlan goes on to say that what America, and the Boy Scouts in particular, are confronted with is a case of "heterophobia".

For Quinlan, heterosexuality is being villified, made to look like a perversion of sexuality, while homosexuality is being sold as perfectly normal.

“Today, I should be able to look at my children’s faces and see reflections of my wife. Instead, I am fighting heterophobic legislation initiated by the gay lobby, which would prevent children molested by homosexuals from seeking heterosexual counseling. Gay activists like the Human Rights Campaign and the Southern Poverty Law Center demand equality while denying equality to the ex-gay community, but denying children access to full mental health care is outrageous and perverted.”

This issue, it seems, is only going to increase in intensity with the passage of time.

With President Obama voicing his open support of the LGBT commuity, it is quite clear now that the issue of homosexuality has been extracted from the realm of morality and into the world of politics, which has clearly had enormous implications in America.
