Thomas Parisi, 20, of 30 Godfrey Ave., was released without bail Sept. 27 after being arraigned on two counts of third-degree burglary.
Parisi, a former employee of Evolution Fitness Gym located at 138 South Street in Oyster Bay, allegedly broke into the business on Wednesday. Cops said he kept a key to the gym and then used it to break-in. Once inside, he allegedly stole an unknown amount of cash from the register and fled.
Parisi was caught red-handed on Thursday when he allegedly tried to pull off the theft again, police said. A gym employee called 911 at 1:43 a.m. to report that Parisi was inside the facility. He was arrested at the scene without incident.
Court records show Parisi is due back before a judge on Sept. 30. He could not be reached for comment.
