Evolve Wrestling adds three more to roster

Evolve Wrestling is coming soon. Last post, we went over everything we know about Evolve Wrestling so far. Today, their website revealed three new singles talents in the promotion to go along with the already announced Davey Richards.

Bobby Fish - Fish is the athlete that was teased in the initial news posting regarding the company’s divisions. He’s a shorter, stocky wrestler with good agility and very good strength for his size. Trained by Tony Devito, Fish regularly tours with NOAH and works NECW (New England Championship Wrestling) along with other northeastern indies in the States. Here’s a Fish match from a Connecticut Kings of Wrestling show:

Riccochet - Riccochet is a 21-year-old high flier who has been considered to have some of the best potential on the indies for a few years. The native of Kentucky was a regular for IWA Mid-South and wrestles fairly regularly in Chikara as Helios. He’s had notable feuds with Chuck Taylor throughout the indies and can be a cornerstone of any new promotion. Here’s a Riccochet match:

TJ Perkins - Perkins is perhaps better known as Puma, a Tiger Mask rip off. The formerly California-based wrestler trained in the New Japan dojo with standouts like Bryan Danielson and Rocky Romero, as well as touring for that Japanese promotion. He’s an excellent wrestler, using a hybrid Japanese juniors style. He has the potential to be great and, as he just moved to the east coast, is a great steal for Evolve. Here’s two Perkins matches:

Besides Richards, these aren’t the biggest names on the indies, but that’s to be expected. Before Ring of Honor, many of their wrestlers who became stars were just coming into their own, as well, especially Samoa Joe and Paul London, so we can see what wrestlers given a chance to grow can really accomplish. Bobby Fish and Perkins might not be great now, but they’re certainly have potential enough that national promotions like NOAH and New Japan, respectively, are giving them shots, so both will likely grow and surprise. Riccochet, due to his extreme youth, has a lot of time to learn and improve as well. One day we may look at these men the same way Bryan Danielson, Low Ki and Chris Daniels are viewed today.
