Turtle Rock Studios, the creators of the Left 4 Dead franchise, is back with an all new multiplayer romp that moves the studios from humans versus hordes of zombies to humans versus a single evolving alien. The February issue of Game Informer revealed Tuesday introduces Evolve for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Evolve originally started under the umbrella of THQ with plans to release in March of this year before the publisher went bankrupt in late 2012. Take-Two Interactive picked up the rights to the game by spending $10.9 million in an auction and it is now being published sometime during the Fall of 2014 under the 2K Games brand.

The game will feature the familiar four-player co-op of Left 4 Dead but puts them up against a single, player-controller alien which evolves into a larger and more powerful monster from match to match. The human side all have their own unique abilities to cope with the monster but it has a growing arsenal of attack to deal with the numerically superior foe.

Expect more details on Evolve to hit soon once the February issue of GameInformer hits stands and digital devices.
