One of the classiest restaurants in Atlantic City, and there are many to choose from, is EVO’s inside and outside Trump Plaza, where parking is free all September long.
Evo's bar is a classic one, winding along one wall of the restaurant. Happy hour guests line the bar’s railing to enjoy a variety of Always Happy Hour drinks for just $5.95, and small plates for the same low price. All are exceptionally created.
The Examiner Man sits down at a bar stool and order a Happy Hour drink, the most popular is the Blue Hawaiian, a blend of rum, cocoanut puree, Blue Curacao, and pineapple juice, shakn or stirred as you like it. The cost: $5.95. same as other Always Happy Hour drinks.
Our bartender, lovely EVO lass named Katarina, creates an assortment of happy hour fare like the Chocolate Diamond, a drink ordered by to ladies during the happy hour. Katarina prepares this delicate drink with vodka, DeKuyper Vanilla Liquor, dark Crèmede Cocoa, and cream. A ymmuy delight!
A third drink being prepared by our attractive Evo girl is the healthy Pomegraniate Martini, a blend of citrus infused vodka, pomegranate schnapps, and fresh sour mix.
Although The Examiner Man didn’t try this drink, it is a drink ti be enjoyed.
While EVO’s Happy Hour drinks are exquisite, the restaurant’s small plates are uniquely created too.
For example, The Examiner Man selected Warm Prosciutto& Mozzarella as a small plate, The price: same as the rdrinks $5.95. All plates are the same economical price.
The plate is a ball of the rubbery cheese wrapped in prosciutto with a Balsamic glaze. Nice touch!
The Caprese is a plate of vine-ripened Jersery tomatoes (when in season) fresh Mozzarella, in olive oil Balsamic basil drip. A beautiful small plaete.A small plate, the P. E. I. Mussels, served in a white wine sauce, is one The Examiner Man will try next happy hour.
The small plate menu also included a Seafood Salad of squid, shrimp and scallops; clams on the half shell, and calamari in a Julienne zuchinni sweet and sour sauce. A gentleman at the happy hour bar selected a n entrée from the main menu, a gourmet special.
The EVO menu had some excellent choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at reasonable prices. The Examiner Man will review EVO’s dinner menu in another Examiner piece.
