The inserted link is of a court caser recently setteled in New Orleans Federal Court over a oil company employees and service company employees intentionally polluting the waters of the Gulf of Mexico
Documented below is the truth , the whole truth and nothing but the truth of that case that will show you what really happens when the government takes on the big oil companies.
In September of 2009 I witnessed first had a oil spill created by employees of WoodGroupPSN onboard 2 separate W&T Oil & Gas facilities , Ship Shoal 300A and Ship Shoal 315,I reported this to the W&T Field Foreman and documented it in my log book, and notified my project manager of WoodGroup PSN.
In October of 2009 I witnessed firsthand a accidental oil spill created by ruptured piping onboard W&T facility Ewing Banks 910, and a second intentional oil spill by purposely dumping oil into the gulf to empty a vessel created by a WoodGroupPSN employee, upon being told by the lead Operator that he would not make a report, the following day I reported the oil spill to the W&T foreman and also notified my project manager of WoodGroupPSN.
In October of 2009 I took video footage of WoodGroupPSN employees onboard W&T Ewing Banks 910 facility “filtering and altering“ overboard produced water samples to remove excess oil, grease and chemicals from the sample to be submitted for testing by regulatory agencies for compliance with the Clean Water Act, both of whom had been trained and instructed to do this by W&T employees each had worked for at different W&T facilities in other offshore areas, I notified the W&T foreman and I also notified my project manager of WoodGroupPSN.
In November of 2009, I overheard and witnessed employees of W&T and WoodGroupPSN mobilizing from Ship Shoal 216 to Ewing Banks 910 to assist with cleaning up and covering up evidence of a oil spill. I had phone conversation with the lead operator and C operator who both informed me that they had an accidental oil spill and were in the process of cleaning up the evidence, which had occurred on a Sunday night. I witnessed for the next several days the field foreman of W&T coordinate cleanup activities to conceal the oil spill. I also heard first had accounts of employees of W&T and WoodGroupPSN being shuttled back and forth between SS 216 and EW910 assisting with the cleanup activities verifying that a oil spill in such enormity that it had completely covered the entire platform and all its vessels from heliport to waterline.
For the next 4 days this activity continued with no intervention from federal authorities, it was at this time that I became aware that W&T field foreman had not reported the oil spills in September and October and had no intention to report the present oil spill. It was at this point that I realized the severity of pollution that W&T as a company was practicing on a gulf wide basis and the criminal activity involved.
It was at this point that my integrity could no longer permit this to continue. I was scared and I did not want to do it because I knew beyond a dout that I would be terminated from my job and blacklisted in the offshore industry and I as well as my family would suffer because of it , for it is exactly what had happened to others I knew in the past.
And on that day I reported these incidents to federal authorities just as i have documented them to you. As you have been reading my eyewitness account of these events you might be thinking thats 4 felony counts of violation of the Act to Prevent Pollution from Ships , 4 felony counts of failure to report an oil spill under the Oil Pollution Act , and 4 felony counts of falsifiying water samples in violation of the Clean Water Act. Now in the world does a oil company guilty of intentionally polluting the environment on 12 different felony charges get away with pleading guilty to 1 felony and 1 misdemeanor ? And how does the sub contractor whos employees committed these acts suffer no consequences for their employee's actions after they have been notified of these crimes and took no action to prevent the events after providing the government with documented phone calls reporting the criminal activity ?
