Some of the stand out “Things to Do” this weekend in EP include:
Billy the Kid Festival in San Elizario, Texas. This event celebrates Billy the Kid's visit to San Elizario in 1876. See re-enactments of the historic breakout of Billy's friend at the old El Paso County Jail. Learn the historic truths of his visit to the old Texas town. See an original one act play, and visit the historic jail and more than 17 historic sites. Includes guided tours, daily historic talks, arts & crafts, concessions, Billy the Kid - Look-A-Like Contest and more. VIVA! El Paso celebrates its 32nd anniversary this summer in El Paso's McKelligon Canyon Amphitheater. An outdoor musical drama, VIVA! Performance chronicles the 400 year history and cultural evolution of the El Paso region. The show is performed every Friday and Saturday night at 8:30 pm Tickets: Adults $20-$24, Kids 2-12 $16-$20 plus applicable service fees. Discounts are available for groups of 20 or more, Military with ID and senior citizens 65+. Enjoy a BBQ Dinner at McKelligon Canyon before VIVA! El Paso: Adult Dinner = $20.00 Children’s Dinner (12 & under) = $10.00 Dinner ticket does not include performance. Adult Dinner consists of a platter of BBQ Beef Brisket, Chile Rubbed Pork Ribs, Honey Glazed Sausage served with Ranchero Beans, Potato Salad and Jalapeno Cornbread.
