New series at the Wexner Center for the Arts!
Field & Screen kicks off tomorrow with Force of Nature: The David Suzuki Movie and Panel Discussion with Environmentalists in the F/V Theater at 7pm. Panel members include representatives from the Ohio Environmental Council, Ohio State's Office of Student Life, Eartha Limited and more.
The fun continues on Saturday with Milk and the Land in the F/V Theater at 2pm, which will include a milk tasting courtesy of Snowville Creamery and cookies from the Wex's very own Heirloom Cafe! Later, at 7pm, Earthwork, featuring Sundance superstar John Hawkes, will screen, preceded by Kudzu Vine, a 20min film about the vine that's taken over the south and changed the way southerners live.
Prepare for greatness with Monster Brawl this week and weekend at the Gateway Film Center with their Nightmares on High Street series. Monster Brawl screens at midnight on Friday and Saturday, 1:30pm on Saturday again, Tuesday at 7:30pm and Thursday at 9:30pm. All tickets $6.
Stop on by Studio 35 this Sunday at 3pm for a beer tasting and screening of Wes Anderson's Rushmore, starring Anderson faves Jason Schwartzman and Bill Murray. Movie begins at 5pm. Admission $20.
Always ahead of the awards, the best place to catch this year's Academy Awards frontrunners are the Drexel Theatre. Michael Fassbender's much-hyped Shame opens tomorrow to accompany the already showing Albert Nobbs, A Dangerous Method, and The Artist, now in its fifth week running!
This weekend, go and get yourself some milk & cookies, then brush up on your Awards talk for the '12 Days of Oscar' that are sure to be coming up. Who said the holidays had to end in December?
