Film noir fans you won't want to miss getTV's film noir Thursdays. The station is starting this event at 7 p.m. ET every Thursday in July. This event will be starting exactly on July 3, which getTV will be airing a night of "The Whistler" movies to kick it off. "The Whistler" movies were crime dramas that starred Richard Dix.

The week after that on July 10, the channel will be airing a night of Edmond O'Brien movies. For some Edmond O'Brien is an underrated actor that starred in plenty of good crime films, so it's great that getTV is showcasing some of his movies. The movie, "711 Ocean Drive," will be kicking the second week of noir Thursdays off. The week after that, Juuly 17, is a night that is dedicated to Gloria Graham and Fritz Lang movies. "The Big Heat," will be starting that off, which that one is one of the best film noir movies out there!

Everyone's favorite actor, Humphrey Bogart takes over the week after that on July 24. The 1947 noir, "Dead Reckoning," starts off that Bogart marathon. The last Thursday of July, July 31, ends with Orson Welles's film noir movies. The two movies that will be airing are "The Lady from Shanghai," and "The Stranger." So you won't want to miss the last Thursday of July, they knew how to end it right with two Orson Welles movies.

So if you love film noir, and have the channel getTV, then you will want to be watching it every Thursday night in July. It looks like summer just got a little hotter and a little more mysterious! July is the perfect timing for those who have never experienced the sub-genre.
