Everton chasing Japanese midfield star

Everton have been in fine form all season in the English Premier League. Now it appears that they are already looking towards summer reinforcements to keep up their present class. According to TalkSport on Mar. 18, 2013, the Toffees are said to be looking to acquire CSKA Moscow and Japanese international midfield sensation, Keisuke Honda.

Honda has been on the radar of multiple major English clubs in the past few seasons, including a long time love affair with Everton's local rivals Liverpool FC.

Everton could use another solid attacking midfielder that can double as a wide player to add increasing amounts of depth to the squad as the Toffees continue to seek a return to top four status and the upper reaches of the league where they were a 1980's power house.

The acquisition of Honda could be a great pickup as he will be available on a cheaper transfer this summer than in previous years as his stock has fallen slightly and could be a bargain signing. David Moyes always seems to find great talent at good prices and is likely to do the same with Honda.
