Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance (EMBA) announces a coaching conference for the Washington Student League. This two-day event is open to those working with kids currently or wanting to start or grow a team. The conference invites parents, school administrators or other adults interested in volunteering as coaches. Veteran coaches are encouraged to attend to share their expertise. The conference will focus on both organizational and management techniques as well as on-bike skills. Specifically,

Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance had already established itself as a youth committed organization before the Washington Student League was founded. Among other activities, EMBA has partnered with Cascade Bicycle Club with Take a Kid Mountain Biking, a day of activities including races and obstacle courses. Besides developing mountain biking skills, Washington Student League focuses on goal-setting and leadership development. It’s available for middle school (7-8) and high school (9-12) students. Just last year, EMBA increased its umbrella to include the High School Mountain Bike League. Shortly after, League Director Lisa Miller explained that the organization expanded to include middle school students.
