Everflame Eidolon from 'Born of the Gods' revealed

Everflame Eidolon from "Born of the Gods"
Wizards of the Coast

Everflame Eidolon is one of the newest "Born of the Gods" spoilers revealed today Jan. 13, 2014 in an article by Kelly Digges on This uncommon red bestow creature is a fiery treat for red mages to abuse in Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert "Magic: The Gathering" expansion set.

Everflame Eidolon - 1R
Enchantment Creature - Spirit (Uncommon)
Bestow 2R (If you cast this card for its bestow cost, it's an Aura spell with enchant creature. It becomes a creature again if it's not attached to a creature.)
R: Everflame Eidolon gets +1/+0 until end of turn. If it's an Aura, enchanted creature gets +1/+0 until end of turn instead.
Enchanted creature gets +1/+1.

As a Bestow creature, Everflame Eidolon pairs naturally with heroic creatures. Two great targets for you to enchant are Anax and Cymede and Fabled Hero, with first strike and double strike allowing you to gain extra value out of Everflame Eidolon's firebreathing ability.

Even by itself Everflame Edolon can be slightly intimidating later on in the game when you have plenty of mana to pump it. Firebreathing is one of those abilities that can force your opponent into awkward situations. Do they let you destroy their big expensive creature with your weenie or take a fiery fist to the face?

If you're running red then Everflame Eidolon is one creature you don't want to pass and an auto-include in your sealed deck.

How will you use Everflame Eidolon?
