Mark the date of Nov. 22, 2013 on your celandars, as the date when Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and fellow tribute Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) start on the 74th Annual Hunger Games victory tour. In preparation, victory posters, for the upcoming "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" movie, were uploaded to the film series' Facebook page on Friday and can be seen in the slideshow.
Here's how the sequel to 2012's "The Hunger Games" is described as follows:
Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson). Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts.
Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow (Donald Sutherland) prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.
Francis Lawrence is helming the second film in the four-movie series, replacing Gary Ross, who directed "The Hunger Games." Ross declined to return for "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire."
The "Hunger Games: Catching Fire" will be released worldwide on Nov. 22, 2013, and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Jeffrey Wright, with Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland.
There are a number of newcomers in the second film in the series, including Alan Ritchson, Bruno Gunn, Meta Golding, Jena Malone and Philip St. Esprit. Among the better-known newcomers are the aforementioned Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amanda Plummer, and Lynn Cohen.
The last two sequels, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1" and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2 will be released on Nov. 21, 2014 and Nov. 20, 2015, respectively.
