As spring approaches the Chicago area, families can visit local LEGO Stores for many fun events and great deals during the month of March 2013.
March LEGO Stores events
On Tuesday, March 5, kids ages 6–14 can visit the store nearest to them from 5:00 p.m. until closing to participate in this month's free monthly mini model build, while supplies last. Each child will be given the pieces needed to construct a cute turtle to keep and take home.
Starting on Monday, March 11, children can visit stores to participate in the new Yoda Chronicles. Participants can listen to Yoda tell stories and then try to figure out who or what is causing a disturbance in the Force.
On Thursday, March 14, visitors to stores can search for a hidden LEGO 4-leaf clover to win special savings.
On Saturday, March 23 and Saturday, March 30, kids can attend LEGO Star Wars Club Meetings. The activity this month is to design and build something that the Republic troopers can use to defeat the Sith troopers. Space is limited, so interested children should register ahead of time. The cost is $25 for non-members and $20 per child for VIP members. Each registrant will receive a limited-edition LEGO Club T-shirt.
March LEGO Stores deals
All month, customers who spend at least $50 will receive a free LEGO Star Wars Republic Frigate ship set. Visitors who spend at least $35 on LEGO Star Wars toys can receive a savings of 50% off of the purchase of the Twin-Pod Cloud Car & Bespin set.
From March 25 to April 8, LEGO VIP members can receive double VIP points for all purchases at brick-and-mortar stores or online at LEGO.com. Through March 31, LEGO builders who already received a Holiday Pick-A-Brick box can fill it up for free at the Pick-A-Brick wall.
New sets available at the stores this month include the amazing and exclusive Palace Cinema (10232), Star Wars Rancor Pit (75005), Star Wars Battle of Hoth (75014), LEGO Chima Ice Tower (70106), and LEGO Technic Grand Prix Racer (42000).
With Easter coming up on Sunday, March 31, shoppers can find a variety of cute themed sets in stores for stuffing Easter baskets during this spring holiday, including a special Springtime Scene set (40052), key chains, watches, and minifigure sets.
