This weekend, January 16-17, marks the 12th annual Del Mar Eventing Fundraiser Clinic at Galway Downs. Top coaches and riders from California and Arizona will be teaching clinics geared for all levels of eventers over the two day clinic but arguably the main attraction will be retired Scottish eventing star Ian Stark.
The winner of four silver medals in three Olympics, Stark retired from international competition in 2007, but continues to ride at horse trials, teach and design courses. His clinics, for Preliminary level riders and above, will go over some of the elements that he’s designed for the March 26-28 International CIC3*** Event. The 2010 CIC, CCI and Training 3-Day will feature the courses designed by Stark.
This annual clinic helps raise the money needed to maintain and improve the courses at Galway Downs, one of the premiere eventing facilities in California.
Other trainers scheduled to participate in the clinic include Hawley Bennett-Awad, Gina Economu, Robyn Fisher, Erin Kellerhouse, Debbie Rosen, Alice Sarno, Sarah Vandenberg, and Wendy Wergeles
