Do you blog, use Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Pinterest, or any other social media site for your business? Have you ever thought of the legal ramifications of what you, or your employees, may be doing in the name of your business?

Courtney Love is going to trial for libel on Twitter. A Utah couple was sued for posting a negative online review. A blogger had to pay $8,000 for copyright infringement when using images without permission for their blog.

Think your business is immune? Think again!

SENSE, The Solopreneur Education Network of Seattle and the Eastside presents Attorney Madhu Singh, and this must-attend workshop for any small business owner that has a presence on the web.

This event will focus on the legal and ethical do's and don'ts in engaging in social media and will offer some tips to protect not only yourself but the reputation of your business. In addition, this event may be useful for businesses who offer SEO or SEM services and interested in learning about developing intellectual property issues.

We will explore best practices and actionable steps to protect the reputation of your business, review relevant Trademark and Copyright cases that may impact your business, and offer ideas on how to handle negative comments on social media.
