In the Galleria, guests will watch an Edgar Allen Poe film as they wait for their tour to begin. The tour will be of the historically decorated Sacramento Room and will feature ghosts from Sacramento’s past. Ghosts this year will include a reference librarian and a Civil War veteran, who will tell you stories about their lives and what Sacramento was like almost one hundred years ago. The theme this year is 1918, so feel free to come dressed up in Edwardian costume. What an entertaining and spooky way to learn about local history!
You don’t need to sign up in advance for this event, and there is no admission fee. However, it’s suggested that you arrive early to get a good spot on the tour. Definitely arrive by 7:00 pm.
If you’d like to hear more, here is an interview from last year’s Haunted Stacks tour with some of the creators of the event.
