Good music never goes out of style and The Big Tree Band is proof. With a blend of John Mayer and Michael Bublé, lead singer Frankie Favasuli is able to quickly capture and keep a new audience mesmerized.
The Tree’s trio, comprised of a lead singer/pianist (Frankie Favasuli), bassist (Richard Emery), and drummer (Brendan McGuckin), produces music that blends pop/rock with dashes of funk, blues, jazz, and hip-hop. Their laid-back and soulful style is enhanced by the lyrics of their original songs, written by Favasuli. His inspiration reflects real-life relatable experiences meant to illustrate the emotional connection we all share.
It is that instinct that started the band. While attending City College, Favasuli met fellow music majors Emery and McGuckin. The three became quick friends and bandmates. Their common love of music and complementary talents quickly led to a steady schedule of performances in and around NYC.
The Big Tree Band is currently recording and soon releasing their first self-titled album. The songs, written by Favasuli, have been pouring out of him since his early teens. With the help of Emery and McGuckin, the songs have been fine-tuned and are now ready for release.
Performing at Silvana this Friday night, The Big Tree Band will feature songs off their upcoming album as well as other well-known and widely-loved hits. Fans are followers are growing with each performance.
