The event featured a special performance by Grammy-winner and feature star of the recently completed ninth season of "Dancing with the Stars" Mya. The event also featured Claude McKnight of Take 6, who performed the National Anthem on the polo grounds just outside the Washington Monument in D.C.

Filming for a potential spot on “Housewives of D.C.” was former model Michaela Salahi and wife of Tareq Salahi, who's president of America's Polo Cup. The two have recently been accused of crashing last week’s White House state dinner honoring the Indian prime minister.

D.C.-native Mýa is a Grammy-award winning R&B singer-songwriter, record producer, actress, dancer, and choreographer. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Mýa’s self-titled debut album sold over a million copies in the United States, producing the gold-certified top ten single "It's All About Me" featuring Sisqo.

Mýa’s second studio album, platinum-selling “Fear of Flying,” was released in 2000 and became a success stateside and worldwide, with lead single "Case of the Ex" becoming Mýa's breakthrough hit.

In 2001 Mýa won her first Grammy Award for the worldwide number-one hit "Lady Marmalade," a cover version she recorded alongside Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, and Pink for the soundtrack of the film “Moulin Rouge!” Here Mýa poses with McKnight and the Salahis.

Mýa is also an actress, having appeared in films such as “Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights” (2004), “Shall We Dance?” (2004) and “Cursed” (2005). In 2002, Mýa had a supporting role in the film adaptation of the 1975 Broadway musical “Chicago”, for which she won a Screen Actors Guild Award. Recently Mýa was voted as runner-up in the ninth season of “Dancing with the Stars.”

Among the guests were Michael Romeo, owner of D.C.'s Fur Nightclub, Lotus Lounge, Tattoo Bar, Midtown and the new Midtown Loft
