Evening|Crowd EP Release Show

Today is a big day for one of Dallas’ up-and-coming bands, Evening|Crowd. After two years of creating music, the indie rock band is releasing their self-titled EP!

If you have yet to listen to Evening|Crowd, this is the perfect time to add them into your "Must-Hear" list. The band has been making big moves this past year, such as performing at South By So What?! and the Breakaway Music Festival in 2013. And today marks a new chapter for the band as they will celebrate the release of their EP in Dallas.

Evening|Crowd consists of Trevor Mery (lead vocals), Dylan Greene (bass, vocals), David Cantu (lead guitar), Stephen Jabour (guitar, vocals), and Anthony Comas (drums). The band formed in 2012, with each member bringing in their individual influences into their music, such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Deftones and Incubus – to name very few. And each sharing the same vision:

“We wanted to create something beautiful together, music that anyone could relate to or enjoy,” said Dylan.

After being unsatisfied with their first recording session, they spent time focusing on writing, and in May of last year, they started fresh – recording the way they initially wanted to with analog gear, recording to tape. Aside from the full-day sessions recording and mixing, Evening|Crowd also spent time playing different shows and getting their name out as best as possible.

And with their EP out today, they're still not slowing down! Evening|Crowd is hoping to start recording their full-length album by the end of the summer or early fall. As a matter of fact, the band was also working on material for their full-length album as they wrapped up their EP.

“It is a very constant goal of [ours] to create as much good music as possible,” said Dylan.

Evening|Crowd is celebrating their EP release at The Curtain Club in Dallas tonight! You can purchase a copy of their CD, along with T-shirts and free stickers at the show. Attendees can also expect to see them perform three songs from the EP, as well as see other performances from The News Can Wait, Criminal Birds, The Wake of Man and Babalou.

Be sure to come out and support local talent! Doors open at 8pm. Cover is $10 for 21+, $13 for under.
