Even more President's Day resources (Photos)

In preparation for this President’s Day, falling on February 18, 2013, why not cover some of the lesser known executives of our country? Students can meet some of the lesser known founding fathers, like James Monroe and James Madison in First Ladies Day in Court, a reader's theater style script that covers history and reinforces language and literature standards.

Or meet president’s Taft, Teddy Roosevelt and McKinley with The Roosevelt Assassination Attempt game and Spanish American War and Post Civil War reader’s theater scripts and Power Point.

Reader's theater increases reading fluidity and comprehension while bringing a here and now feel to history. Students are motivated to work on intonation and expression to further deepen their understanding of characterization and the forces that drove people in the past.
