As one of the largest player driven gameplay communities, New Eden is home to a wide array of pirating, scandal and intrigue for EVE Online players. Though the learning curve for this game may be much steeper than other MMOs available, players that truly delve into its depths can find themselves in any number of real world situations.

Take "Bad Bobby" of the corporation Titans4U. Some years ago Bobby set in motion a plan that would ultimately lead to one of the most famous stories of scandal to ever grace the stars of New Eden.

Starting small, Bobby created several small scale campaigns designed to draw public favor. Over the years he gradually increased his ambitions, always returning on investments for a company that started out under the premise of purchasing several Titan blueprints, each of which was worth 60 Billion ISK.

The blueprints were secured by a board of five trustees who would need to vote in order to unlock them. Bobby, who owned 50% of the company shares could not complete a vote to unlock the blueprints by himself, and knowing this he initiated a vote to add more shares under the guise of adding more trustees. Against the recommendations of market expert Proton Power, the trustees voted for the move, giving Bobby a controlling interest in the company.

With the vote passed, Bobby was able to kick all the other directors from the company and unlock the blueprints on his own, netting himself a grand total of 850 billion ISK, a sum that could be worth about $45,000 if sold online.

You have completely over simplified what actually happened. First of all.. Bad Bobby had man Funds going at the time of this pull out. Titans 4 U only account for about 160bil of the total 850bil. Also.. The five directors on Titans 4 U had the majority of the votes over Bobby.. but he waited to put a vote through to increase his shares when conviently one of the Directors was MIA. This was all thought out in advance but dont think that Proton was the sole voice of reason watching this happen.. the Investors never had a shot.. regardless of what the Directors did.
