Evangelist Billy Graham close to the end of his life as family asks for prayers

Billy Graham has fought his whole life trying to win souls for Jesus. He is now ending that fight as his life here on earth may be over very soon. According to The Washington Times on Dec. 13, the well-loved world evangelist is near death and his family is asking for prayers for him.

The 95-year-old just had a birthday last month celebrating many years of living his life for the Lord. He has suffered from Parkinson’s disease, prostate cancer and reportedly had several broken hips over the years. His health has taken a downward spiral as it looks like it won’t be much longer before he will have his own celebration in Heaven.

Grandson Will Graham said that old age has caught up to him and the family is asking for prayers of peace and strength for Reverend Graham. He has been a widower since 2007 when his beloved wife Ruth passed away. They have five children together and a total of 19 grandchildren.

Graham has been a spiritual adviser to many presidents, including Dwight D. Eisenhower. He is best known for his Billy Graham Crusades that was started back in 1947 and has brought millions of people to Christ since then. He preached the Gospel in a powerful message that everyone could understand. It was certainly embraced by many as the evangelist prayed for those that had yet to make that decision.

Now that his health has failed, prayers are being asked on behalf of Billy Graham for him to go peacefully, as his time has now come to go home.
