Actress Evan Rachel Wood is pregnant!
Us Weekly reported Friday that newlywed actors Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell are expecting their first baby in 2013. The pair were married last year in a super hush-hush ceremony, and are "thrilled" to become parents together.
Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell met while shooting a music video back in 2005, but shocked everyone when they tied the knot with a Halloween eve wedding, where they exchanged vows and partied with "close family and friends".
Following the couple's Oct. 30 wedding, pregnancy rumors began to swirl. In November 2012, Wood denied she was carrying a baby to her Twitter followers. "Sorry to disappoint. But no baby on the way here."
We briefly caught up with Wood (one of the stars of the HBO series "Mildred Pierce") at the 2011 Emmy Awards, where she looked absolutely stunning. We love a girl who can look equally at home in an old t-shirt and baseball cap as she does in a gown on the red carpet, and Wood consistently accomplishes this back-and-forth, night-and-day transition flawlessly. Literally starstruck, all we could think to ask was, "Who are you wearing?"
Wood replied, "Elie Saab." Our photo above doesn't do it justice, as it was taken with a cell phone rather than a proper camera, but this dress was one of the best of the evening, maybe the best. Wood's slicked back finger waves, peep-toe Ferragamo pumps and classic make-up were completely on-point. She was perfection.
Now that it has been confirmed that Evan Rachel Wood is pregnant, we can't wait to see her maternity style develop! Moms-to-be should have fun and experiment, especially when they have the money to do it right. However, when it comes to the baby's name, some advice to the new parents-to-be: less is usually more.
With all of the crazy celebrity baby names out there, here's hoping Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell opt for something we won't be openly mocking at dinner parties in six months!
