The new Eva Green "Sin City" sequel poster has a few people all hot and bothered -- and in more ways than one. Not only does the former "Bond" girl show quite a bit of side-boob through her sheer shirt, which is enough for most people to take notice, but she has the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) so bent out of shape they've banned the poster.
Web Pro News reported June 2 that the "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For" poster, where Eva Green is seen highlighted against a lit window in a see-through shirt, her right breast prominently displayed. The MPAA objected, stating that the photo of Green constituted a depiction of "nudity."
According to Deadline, the "Sin City" sequel poster was banned “for nudity — curve of under breast and dark nipple/areola circle visible through sheer gown.”
So they banned the poster.
Dimension Films says it is reworking the image.
As Web Pro News pointed out, the poster ban has only led to controversy and plenty of exposure for not just Green but for the upcoming movie, which will be released in August. It is basically free advertising for the movie, the report contends.
But it isn't as if Eva Green hasn't been seen nude before -- just not on a movie poster. In the movies she's been in -- well, it's safe to say she isn't averse to showing a little skin. Not only was she nude in "300: Rise of an Empire" but she's also had nude scenes in 2003's "The Dreamers" and 2006's "Casino Royale."
In 2007, Empire magazine chose Eva Green as the sixth sexiest movie star of all-time.
