Eva Green is ‘A Dame to Kill For’ in ‘Sin City’ sequel

Dimension Films has finally announced casting for the title role in “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.” Eva Green, seen most recently in Tim Burton’s big screen “Dark Shadows” reboot, will play Ava Lord, described as “every man’s most glorious dreams come true, she’s also every man’s darkest nightmares.”

The “Sin City” sequel is based on the graphic novel by Frank Miller. Robert Rodriguez is co-directing with Miller.

Green also starred with Orlando Bloom in Ridley Scott’s “Kingdom of Heaven,” and opposite Daniel Craig in “Casino Royale.”

She joins a big cast that’s been shooting for some time now. Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Michael Madsen, Rosario Dawson and Clive Owen are returning from the original film, with Josh Brolin, Ray Liotta, Jeremy Piven, Dennis Haysbert and Juno Temple joining the cast.

Principal photography reportedly began in late October, 2012. “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” is scheduled to open October 4, 2013.
