Europe and U.S. bent over backwards for Putin

Now it is time for big changes. A Reuters reports indicates that at least one of the black boxes has been discovered at the Malaysian airliner shootdown crash site. That means that some of the rumors about the site being looted may have been exaggerated. Yet, we do know from verifiable intelligence sources that the Russians removed the missile launcher and took it back to Russia. Americans have bluntly accused Russia of having provided the missiles to separatists who were not competent to use it. Or, they were competent at using it but indiscriminate in targeting.

Even if the ethnic Russian terrorists were firing at Ukraine targets, that would be unacceptable.

Meanwhile, at least one European leader had something more to say via a CNN report:

"If President Putin does not change his approach to Ukraine, then Europe and the West must fundamentally change our approach to Russia," Cameron wrote. Ten of the passengers on MH17, which was en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, were British.”

No, David Cameron, Russia is now past that point. It is past time to “fundamentally change our approach to Russia.” The evidence is that Russia is a rogue nation under Putin’s leadership and that it is a sponsor of terrorism. That means that the free world must isolate and blockade Russia economically.

Foreign policy Russia: Pull the plug

  1. Seize all Russian leaders' foreign bank accounts
  2. Stifle Russian trade
  3. Transform energy paradigms away from petroleum

Sometimes bad times initiate good changes. Tip the scales to make some changes. Define and describe what Russian people must do to reenter the free world:

  1. Remove Putin and his cronies from power
  2. Energize more democratic freedom in Russia
  3. Embark on a campaign for peace and economic freedom
  4. Initiate close allies among free world partners

That will take some time. It is up to Russian citizens to desire change in earnest. The free world must apply the stick while offering a carrot. The EU, NATO and U.S. need to get onto the same page to apply a new united foreign policy that applies to all rogue nations and those supporting terrorism.
