The live stream EuroBasket 2013 schedule brings another big game live online via internet feed to basketball fans on Saturday, Sept. 7. In the latest matchup, Poland takes on the tournament favorites in Spain. Fans of EuroBasket 2013 international competition will be able to see the game live streaming online thanks to ESPN3.
According to a Sept. 5 article from ESPN.com, Spain will enter this matchup after a shocking loss to the host team Slovenia on Thursday. Slovenia won the game 78-69 to grab the upset over the defending champions, thanks in part to Goran Dragic. The Phoenix Suns guard put in a full body of work with 18 points, six rebounds, seven assists and two steals to help Slovenia get the win. After the game he told the media, "Everything worked out. We had nothing to lose and we deserved to win." For the losing side, Spain's Marc Gasol of the Memphis Grizzlies had 17 points.
Next up, Spain will take on the Czech Republic. They defeated Poland by the slimmest of margins, 69-68 on a Lubos Barton three-point shot with just four seconds to go in the game. The Czech team features just one current NBA star in power forward Jan Vessely of the Washington Wizards. Spain not only features one of the top centers in America's pro basketball league, but also a player many considered a rising star among guards several years ago, Ricky Rubio. Currently, he's average 6.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 4 assists a game. He leads the team in assists and steals (1.5), while Gasol leads in points (15.5) and rebounds (9.0).
Spain is currently a whopping favorite heading into this contest, priced at -3300, while the underdog Czech Republic team is +1200. Both teams are currently 1-1 overall in the Group C standings, tied also with Georgia and Croatia. Poland has yet to win a game at 0-2, while Slovenia leads the group with a 2-0 win-loss record.
