Tomorrow, Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 7PM CIFO Art Space in Midtown Miami will have a guided tour with Venezuelan artist Eugenio Espinoza.
Espinoza will take the public through a guided tour of the exhibition "Frames and Documents," with a presentation by CIFO's Director & Curator, Jesus Fuenmayor.
Eugenio Espinoza was born in 1950, in San Juan de los Morros, Venezuela.
From 1966 to 1974, he studied at the Escuela de Artes Plasticas Cristobal Rojas and the Instituto de Diseno Newmann-Ince in Caracas. From 1977 to 1981, he lived in New York where he studied at Pratt Institute, New York University and the School of Visual Arts.
In 1972, Espinoza exhibited cut and folded canvases at the Museo de Bellas Artes and his "Impenetrable" at the Ateneo de Caracas. In 1985, he represented Venezuela at the Bienal de São Paulo.
His works are included in exclusive international private collections and in the collections of the Galeria de Arte Nacional, Museo de Bellas Artes, and Museo Alejandro Otero in Caracas; Museo de Arte Contemporaneo, São Paulo, Museo de Arte Moderna, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and at the Miami Art Museum, U.S.
Espinoza was awarded the CIFO's Achievement Commission in 2007 and a Pollock-Krasner Foundation 2010-2011 Grant.
