Eugene resident, Kim Carter, is a huge Justin Bieber fan. Like many fans of the celebrity singer, she has collected photographs, music and various marketing items relating to Bieber. For Christmas, Kim received a life-size stand up of Justin.
Like most 21-year old girls do, Kim went out with friends on August 11, 2012. She never imagined the night would turn out so exciting.
Kim and a couple of friends visited a local hangout for a drink. Afterward, they headed for a Burrito Boy that was close by. Kim followed her friends into the restaurant. Standing in line to order food, Kim noticed a woman who looked familiar to her. Within moments, she realized the woman was Patti Mallette, Justin Bieber's mom.
Kim was so excited she was left speechless. Her friend finally spoke out on her behalf. He began talking with Mallette and asked for a picture. Mallette was hesitant at first but later she insisted they get the photograph before she left.
Mallette posed with Kim in the picture and headed out. Mallette was traveling but stopped by Eugene to visit someone she knew.
Carter states that she was nervous since she's such a fan of Justin Bieber's. She says she didn't speak to her much due to the nervousness and the shock that she was there. Kim states,
She seemed like a really nice lady but didn’t have much to say since it was 2 in the morning. She probably just wanted to go home and eat her food.
