Thursday, CBS News uncovered information that Stephanie and Nathan Sloop revealed about losing other children on Knot.com; charges to be filed Friday against them for Ethan Stacy’s murder. Stephanie Sloop, Ethan Stacy’s mother wrote on the wedding website Knot.com that she lost unborn twins: "Even though I lost the babies we planned to have, it saved my life. You can always have more children, but Nathan couldn't replace me."
The couple wrote about the first time they meet, how they were reunited in 2009, and their wedding that took place last week. The couple knew each other in high school, but lost touch until 2009.
Nathan Sloop, Ethan's stepfather wrote: "Just a few years ago as I was going through the deepest, darkest part of my life dealing with my child being kidnapped and being in the middle of a vicious divorce, I began receiving these encouraging emails that had impeccable timing. That was my Steph sending me an encouraging word just when I was at my lowest."
Nathan never mentions if the kidnapped child was ever found. Tuesday, Ethan Stacy’s 4-year-old body was found near the Powder Mountain ski resort after police received a tip from Stephanie or Nathan.
According to Layton police the mother, Stephanie Sloop, 27, will be charged with felony child abuse, obstruction of justice and desecration of a corpse. While stepfather Nathan Sloop, 31, will be charged with aggravated homicide and desecration of a corpse.

The 12-hour search ended Tuesday night at 5 pm when Ethan’s body was found buried in Wolf Canyon near Powder Mountain, about 40 miles northeast of Salt Lake City, Utah.

this is heartwrenching to read. A mother of all people should protect her child at all costs. This digusts me to think that there are such cowardly monsters out there that whould harm an innocent child. I pray he is wrapped in Angels Wings and in a more loving place than this world was to him.
Undoubtedly the former wife of Sloop knew her child with him was in danger and hid it from him. God Bless her. The tubal pregnancies the scumqueen Stephanie "lost" are without a doubt better off unborn than with those two low lives as parents. Sloop would have just ended up torturing & killing them too.

Not only did she not protect her son but she left him alone without food for 3 days so that she could go and MARRY the bastard she was supposed to protect him from. Sounds like she deserves the great mom award to me(sarcasm obviously). This whole situation never should have happened, the boy was just a baby and he should still be playing in his FATHER'S yard, going swimming with his life vest on, fishing, and getting dirty like little boys do.
This mother felt Ethan was replaceable, i wander if they dig deep enough if there might be an insurance policy on his life involved? Just a thought? I live close to the father, an honest hard working man who did what he was supposed to do as a law abiding citizen, he followed the judges orders and sent his son to his mother. I feel like they should put the mom and step dad in a prison cell, chained to a bed, without food and water and let the father go at them with hammer just like they did poor ethan. They deserve to be slowly beat to death, and when the end is near, give them a a final blow to send them to Hell where they belong!
My heart aches tearfully for this little boy and his Daddy. It makes me sick to think of what Ethan endured. It is unbelievable a so called mother could allow this to happen to her child. Stephanie is the epitomy of evil! There is no punishment severe enough for the monsters who killed this helpless, defenseless, innocent angel. I wish the monster mother and stepfather to suffer just as Ethan did for the rest of their lives tortured endlessly without the relief of death. Death would be too good for them.
I knew Sloop in high school and after, he's a piece of crap. The mother should be charged with murder as well. She watched him kill her son. What a world we live in when it's ok to watch your child be beaten to death and all you get charged with is felony child abuse. Ridic!!!! Also, Sloop is a liar, no one kidnapped his child, the mother got the child bc she is a wonderful mother and got out of a bad situation, knowing what Sloop was capable of.
I have a similar situation with my grandchild and it sickens me to think of this innocent child and what he had to bear because of a "JUDGE and the so called LAW". It frightens me even more so because this same situation could happen to my grandchild because of THE LAW and some JUDGE who doesn't give a damn except to get his job done and back to his life with out even giving a thought of what he has done and not care enough to find out anything about the noncustodial parent and her ROOM MATE or if the child will be safe especially if the noncustodial people have track records. PLEASE can anyone give me any information for the "ETHAN STACEY LAW" and how I can help!!!!! I heard about the people in Virginia trying to get the law changed that caused this to happen without considering the safety of the child. Please let me know Thank YOU!!
He's lying about the kidnapping. His ex-wife got a restraining order against him to protect her and their daughter against him. Typical narcissistic sociopath, defining reality to fit the version his ego prefers.
I could not agree more!!!! They are both SATAN in the flesh!!! PURE EVIL!!! GOD is GREAT and they will get what they deserve in the end!!! For now, however, they should be tortured exactly like they tortured this innocent little boy. Not just once but everyday for the rest of thier pethetic lives!!! And to the justice system WHAT JUSTICE? There is no justice!!!! Not for Ethan or his father!!! A father that loved him but that wasnt good enough, he needed a mother that would let someone kill him!! Now you will put them in jail and make the American people feed them for the next thirty years!!! What a wonderful JUSTICE system! To Ethans father I dont have the words. I hope she gets her behind kicked every single day in prison until she gets the death penalty. (Now that will be Justice). How dare she be so freaken weak as to put a man before her offspring. That desperate, cowardly female dog. Even dogs protect their young. TRASH!!!!
I can not even begin to tell you how I think this mom should be punished. I think maybe they should do to her what was done to her child. or turn her lose to the father of this baby and let him take the "law" into his own hands. Bless his heart he can never replace his son if he had a dozen more children. This baby is in abetter place than being with her!
I live in Boise, Idaho. We have a case very similar to this case ready to take stand here. This case involves eight year old Robert Manwell, he was from another part of Idaho coming for summer to stay with his mom and her live in boyfriend. He died also from abuse from the boyfriend and Mother. I pray that these little boys get the justice that they deserve, and that the "parents" to these abused little boys. will receive treatment behind bars and the last days of there lives where here on earth. I sincerely hope God and the justice system has NO MERCY on these so called "parents" just as these little boys had no mercy when they where crying and pleading to stop.. May These people truly rot for the remainder of their horrid lives on earth, until judgment day comes and they ROT IN HELL!!!
