Esterel is one of the many restaurants participating in DineLA this Summer.

Estérel in Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills takes you on a culinary adventure of innovative flavors and tempting tastes. Reflecting its origins in the South of France, this exciting new French restaurant and lounge offers an inspired contemporary menu featuring seasonal selections infused with fragrant herbes de Provence: saffron, fennel and basil. Savor each artistically prepared meal in an inviting setting where California casual meets French chic.

Executive Chef Marius Blin uses the freshest ingredients from local suppliers to create delicious and healthy meals – from reinvented French classic cuisine to low-calorie, gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian selections.

The DineLA lunch menu is a choice of Tartine with 2 sides and a dessert all for $20/person! I love the idea of tartines for lunch because it feels light and Esterel does a great job offering a variety of tartines to suit everybody's tastes.

I chose the eSTéReL Tartine with lemon rosemary chicken, marcona almond, olive, wild arugula, black garlic with a side of tomato soup and kale caesar salad and the So Paris with shaved ham, Comte AOC cheese, grain mustard béchamel with soup and fries. Both lunch options were presented on a cute wooden board with the sides in their own dishes. The flavors were bold, yet when I finished, I didn't feel weighed down.

Dessert was a trio of creme brulee: Valrhona chocolate, Madagascar vanilla, hazelnut praline which were the perfect portion size and allowed us to try different flavors. The affogato was a nice palate cleanser with the almond milk ice cream and dark espresso.

Esterel also does a dinne DineLA menu for $35/person for 3 courses.
